Dodgers edge White Sox in a nail bitter (June 4)
The White Sox jumped ahead early when Tyler Beliveau shot a line drive to center field that drove Paul Karle and Beau Brissette. They would add one more on the top of the fourth inning, when Beliveau launched an intercontinental ballistic missile that sailed past Nutile C's center field fence and would land on the roof of the snack bar.
Despite the fireworks display by Beliveau, Dodgers pitching of Blake, Kang and Gogolin would silence the rest of the Sox lineup, striking out the last six to keep the blues in the fight.
On the Sox side, Karle and Beliveau kept the contest close by only allowing three Dodgers to cross the plate through 5 innings.
However, on the bottom of the sixth, the Dodgers walked off with the win, when Bartalini, who had singled, was scored by a long double by Peter Sughrue. The final score was 4-3 in favor of the Dodgers.
