Marlins 1st inning sets tone vs Red Sox (May 19)
The Main Street Citgo Marlins jumped out to a first inning lead and never looked back against the Middlesex Surgical Association Red Sox Sunday morning. That brought Chris Power to the plate who was able to drive Schut in on a base hit up the middle. Power was able to steal second, third, and eventually home to give the Marlins a 2-0 lead going into the second inning.
After allowing a hit to Thomas Mackay to start the second, Badger settled down and retired the next three batters. Mahoney retired three in a row with strikeouts in the bottom of the second.
