White Sox Rattle The Diamondbacks (May 23)
The Green Light Biosciences White Sox defeated the J. Donlon Construction Diamondbacks at home by a score of 8-5. The sox came out swinging with 5 singles by Karle, Halsey, Brissette, Bokskanski, and Testa with a double peppered in the middle by Mahoney to get 3 on the board in the first. The D-Backs answered back with a single by Gindell and Pagan but Karle and the White Sox defense would hold them to one run. The sox continued with singles in the second with a shot by Christmas to left for a single. Christmas would eventually score on singles by Karle and Halsey for a one run inning. Karle would go on to strike out the side with great defensive help by Brisette holding down first. The D-Backs would start the 4th with top of the order and a single by James O'Brien and Jackson Pagan. Bases were loaded up with a few walks but Halsey would dig him self out of the inning letting up only 3 runs. The sox would answer back with more singles from Testa, Zarur, Young and McCabe in the top of the 4th to add a 3 runs. The 4th would end for the Sox with a hard hit ball by Brissette caught by Calvin Pagan playing the hot corner to end the 4th. Halsey would get back on the hill for the 5th to battle and was relieved by Beliveau who struck out the side with bases loaded allowing only 1 run in the 5th. The Sox would answere in the 5th with one run scoring by Bokskanski after a stolen base and a passed ball. Beliveau would make quick work in the 6th with a hard hit shot from Gindell to Karle at short for the 6-3 first out followed shortly by two K's for the 8-5 victory.
