A's nine run first sinks ChiSox (May 18)
The A's took advantage of six hits and some very aggressive base running to take the early lead. AJ Muse (2 singles in the inning) started the rally, and was joined in the hit parade by his brother Carson; the Zermani brothers Dante and Antonio, who both singled; and Austin Curtis, who stroked a long double off the centerfield fence.
The A's continued their hot-hitting in the second, pushing across three more runs, highlighted by a run-scoring triple by Carson Muse, and singles by Will Fuller and Luke Travaglini.
The White Sox answered with single runs in the second, with Beau Brissette coming around to score, and the third, on a towering home run by slugger Tyler Beliveau. They added two more in the fourth, on hits by Joe Testa and Alex Zarur, and two in the sixth, with Thomas Mahoney and Ted Boksanski coming across to score. However, the A's big lead proved to be out of reach.
AJ Muse, Will Fuller, and Josh Lacey pitched effectively for the A's, and the White Sox got excellent relief pitching by Paul Karle.
