Bats Blistered As Winchester Red Sox (U14) De (May 7)

Both the U14 Lexington Wealth Mgmt Red Sox and the North Reading Yardworks had their offenses going on Sunday 5/7, but Winchester eventually prevailed, 22-14.

Winchester scored one run in the 1st and 3 runs in the 2nd with the key hit being a two run single by Olivia Maguire driving in Cam Stecchi and Lucia Rascionato.

North Reading fought back to take the lead with five runs in bottom of the 2nd but Winchester took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning when Amy Scali singled, driving in one run, Amelia Casassa singled, driving in two runs, and Rascionato singled, driving in one.

Winchester broke the game open with seven runs in the sixth inning on singles by Brandy Donovan, Scali, and Erin Langridge.

Overall, Winchester collected 20 hits. Donovan, Jillian Tucci, Rascionato, Tia Fiorentino, Scali, and Nathalia Sakorafas each collected multiple hits while Scali, Fiorentino, Langridge, Cassassa, Rascionato, and Maguire all drove in multiple runs.

Winchester´┐Żs pitching was led by Tucci who started and pitched 4 innings while striking out 6 and Sakorafas who pitched the final two innings .
